Annual Bridges Ride

Cedar Valley Nature Trail bridges land and people. The Cedar Valley Trails Partnership invites you to participate in a free, public bike ride on June 6th, 2026, to celebrate and commemorate efforts to replace or repair bridges on the Cedar Valley Nature Trail.

Bridges Ride distance options include (find detailed routes on the Cedar Valley Trails event page):

• 60-mile advanced ride – Gateway Park in Cedar Falls to McFarlane Bridge in La Porte City and back to Pfeiffer Park in Cedar Falls. Ride starts at 9:00am. 
• 30-mile intermediate ride - Cedar Valley Nature Trail parking lot in Evansdale to McFarlane Bridge in La Porte City and back to Cedar Valley Nature Trail parking lot in Evansdale. Ride starts at 10:00am. 
• 9-mile family ride – Cedar Valley Nature Trail parking lot in Evansdale, Iowa to Gilbertville Depot in Gilbertville, Iowa and back Cedar Valley Nature Trail parking lot in Evansdale, Iowa. 

The party is happening in route at Gilbertville Depot including food, drink, live music and a raffle:

• Entertainment with DJ Josh and Mike Staebell.
