Cedar Valley Cyclist’s (CVC) annual breast cancer awareness ride will be Sunday October 5th. Registration starts at 12:30 at the Waterloo Singlespeed, 325 Commercial Commercial Street. The ride starts at 1pm. Suggested donation for the ride is $25 with proceeds going to the Beyond Pink Team who locally support women with Breast Cancer.
Ride will take the Hwy 63 trail with the 7 mile option turning around at the Greenbelt lake and the longer option of 18 miles going to Hudson. Fun, games, and prize registrations will be held at the lake.
Ride organizers include CVC board members Gretchen Harken who is a 36-year Breast Cancer Survivor and Mary Steffensmeier who was her dietitian during her treatments.
