Denver Waffle Rides are back! Build a calorie deficit to Denver and let the Legion replenish! The Legion offers all you can eat Belgian waffles, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee.

The Waffle Ride usually takes place on the 1st Sunday of every month, but check the calendar!

Get pumped up for CVC's WOW (Wednesdays on Wheels) rides each Wednesday, 5/13/2025-10/2/2024 (note, original start was 5/6, but the weather didn't cooperate!).

WOW rides meet at Overman Park, Cedar Falls, with four ride types:

Fast Speed Road Ride (18-19 mph, no leader), departing at 5:45pm

Medium Speed Road Ride (16-17 mph, w/leader), departing at 5:50pm

Regular Speed Road Ride (14-15 mph w/leader), departing at 6:00pm

Trail Ride (w/leader), departing at 6:00pm

Check our Facebook page for weekly routes, updates and ride personalities. And note, speeds are average road speed. If you are new to the ride scene, just let the leader know so we can welcome you and provide ride insights. And for even more fun, we normally meet after the ride for social engagement.

CVC Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Ride

Register

Cedar Valley Cyclist’s (CVC) annual breast cancer awareness ride will be on Saturday, September 26th. Registration starts at 9:30am at Anton's Garden, 518 Sycamore St., Waterloo, the ride pushes off at 10:00am. Suggested donation for the ride is $25 with proceeds going to the Beyond Pink Team who locally support women with Breast Cancer.

The ride will follow local trails along the Cedar River to the fun Twisted Cross Event at Tondro Pray Bike Park. Riders can then return to Anton's Garden for Oktoberfest!

Ride organizers include CVC board members Gretchen Harken who is a 37-year Breast Cancer Survivor. The ride will celebrate survival, friendship, cycling and prevention. Costumes are welcome. For more information contact Gert at getgoinggert@gmail.com.

All proceeds go to Beyond Pink Team to support grants for medical, transportation, and groceries needs and general education, support, and advocacy for quality care in the Cedar Valley.

Twisted Cross 2026 is ON at Tondro Pray Bike Park in Cedar Falls, IA! This race is a blast... it is fast, fun, beginner friendly racing! The race will happen, rain or shine!

Multiple categories and age groups, there's a free cross style dog race as well! Pre-register on Bike Reg until Friday before races. Day of Registration is available 30 minutes before your race starts. Masters Races Sponsored by SingleSpeed Brewing.

Fun, for all levels of experience, will be served up this weekend!

Cranksgiving

Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride, part food drive, part scavenger hunt, it has been held annually in Cedar Falls since 2009 and is Iowa longest running Cranksgiving celebration. Bring a bike, a bag, a lock, and about $15-$20 to buy food. All of the items collected at stores will benefit the Northeast Iowa Foodbank and Cedar Bend Humane Society. Every year, the event helps provide hundreds of needy families with a wealth of food during the week of Thanksgiving.

CVC Holiday Lights Ride - 2026

The Holiday Lights Ride is a tour of the Cedar Valley's best holiday lights display. Light up your bikes, put on some warm clothes and prepare for amazement. See you on at Overman Park (Cedar Falls), 6:00pm.

Note to riders... the date is subject to change based on temperature and road conditions.
